Malika Ali Harding (she/her) is an Amsterdam-based artist whose interdisciplinary practice includes writing, filmmaking, curating, photography, sound, and performance. She creates at the intersection where the sacred meets the profane, where darkness dances with light, telling stories by any medium necessary.
Her work traverses 20th-century Black America, excavating personal, mytho-biographies grounded in collective memory, ancestral lore, historical research, Hoodoo, and deep listening. She invites audiences to participate in immersive narrative experiences—touching, tasting, smelling, hearing, and viewing stories in an embodied way.
Malika earned a BFA from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and an MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio (USA), she now lives in The Netherlands where she conducts research for her ongoing projects, maintains her studio practice, and guides artists and activists in meditation.
